Standard terms for licensing your data.
Every Allied deal is a license to an anonymized copy of data you choose. These are our default positions. Your written offer states anything that differs.
| Buyer | An AI lab licensing data to train and evaluate models. The lab is named in your written offer. |
|---|---|
| What you grant | A license to an anonymized copy of the data you put in scope. You keep ownership and the originals. |
| Equity or debt | None. A data license is not financing and gives the buyer no stake in your company. |
| Your cost | None. Allied is paid by the buyer. |
| Eligibility | Usually 25 or more employees and at least a year of history in one of the systems we license. |
| Offer timing | A written offer one to two weeks after the intake call. |
| Payment | By wire, 30 to 60 days after the lab accepts delivery. |
| Anonymization | Names, contact details, account numbers and customer identities are removed or replaced. You approve a sample before delivery. |
| Scope | You choose systems, channels and date ranges. HR, legal and board material is excluded by default. |
| Exclusivity | Non-exclusive unless a buyer pays a premium for exclusivity, which you can accept or decline. |
What the license lets the lab do
- Use the delivered data to train and evaluate AI models.
- Keep the data for the retention period stated in the license.
What the license prohibits
- Trying to re-identify any person, customer or company in the data.
- Reselling or redistributing the data.
- Using the data for anything other than model training and evaluation.
